I’m Lian (they/them), a multidisciplinary artist based between Barcelona and Vienna.

My work moves through questions of embodiment, identity, and perception often rooted in my experience as a non-binary person. I’m interested in the body not as a fixed form, but as a concept that is constantly shifting: shaped by memories, sensation, transition, and ones own self imagery. I want to explore the relationship between the body and the self through tension, intimacy and distance as an ongoing process of coming closer to our true selfs.

I’m drawn to what lies underneath and the idea that there are layers of experience constantly surrounding us. A moment that will pull you out of reality, if you let it be. I want to play with the unknown and with the possibility of ordinary times and spaces holding an entry point to different dimensions, that we can all access by a different way of seeing or a moment of consciousness.

I approach my work intuitively, creating spaces that invite a shift of perception. I want your attention to slow down and create space for something unnoticed to come into focus. It’s not about escaping reality, but about expanding it. Recognising that there is more depth and connection within our everyday lives than we are aware of.
